-June 7, 2011-For today, tell us about two enemies you've made in your life. Who are they? How do you feel about them? Is this a friendly rivalry, or the sort of battle that ends with only one person standing and the other in bits? Were you ever friends before? We want to know!
-Odin: The All-Father-I chose to defy him for one man. I chose to defy Armageddon. Now it will come down to either him or me. Fuck, I hope I win.
-Brunhilde-My sister-in-arms. The quirky little scientist who always knew how to lift my spirits. When I defied Odin, I betrayed her and all my other sisters. Maybe someday she'll forgive me.
-June 14, 2011-Today, we challenge you give us a scene/event from your character's story from the perspective of one person involved...
I had been watching him for months now; ever since he had seen me in that near-death experience he had. He had diligently done his research and now had figured out how to make me visible to more than just dead souls. I mean, I could make myself visible if I wanted to, but it was more interesting when I was offered a bribe.
So there he was before me. His short raven hair was spiked and he wore a shirt from something called "AC/DC" with a pair of faded out denim jeans. (What? You think that us Valkyries don't know about denim jeans? They're my favorite day off clothes!) The book in his hands was open and he stared intently at it. I don't know why, but I wanted to make that look disappear; so much so that I almost made myself appear without the ritual.
Slowly, he set the book down, "If you're here, I know that I don't have to do this."
I stared at him in shock. How the hell had he figured that out?
"I just want to talk, to meet you," his voice wavered. "Hell, I don't even know if I'll get the same one..."
With that, I made up my mind and appeared before in, not a couple feet away. He started at my sudden appearance.
"Woah," he breathed, staring at my wings. "Hello, Angel."
....and then the same scene from the perspective of another.
I had searched for months on how to make an Angel appear. I had nearly died from the accident and she had appeared to me. Then I was pulled back by the paramedics. Yeah, thanks guys for saving my life, but I really would have rather not been in so much pain. I still had a bit of a limp from my broken leg.
I stood in my apartment, a hard bound book open in my hands, reading. It was raining outside and I could distantly hear thunder.
The book stated that I needed to state her name, but how on this green Earth was I supposed to do that? I didn't know her name, only that she had the most beautiful wings I had ever seen and a demeanor that spoke of being a warrior. I remembered vaguely that another book that I had looked at just a week ago said that I didn't need to do anything, that she could just appear at will. I set the current book down.
"If you're here, I know that I don't have to do this."
I waited, holding my breath, unsure of what would happen.
"I just want to talk, to meet you," my voice wavered. "Hell, I don't even know if I'll get the same one..."
Suddenly, not two feet before me, she appeared, a look of shock on her beautiful face. I took my time in taking in her appearance, noting the way she held herself, but then my eyes fell upon her wings and I couldn't keep myself from staring. They were beautiful! They were big and black and looked something akin to either a falcon or eagle.
"Woah," I breathed, not removing my eyes from her wings. "Hello, Angel."
-June 21, 2011-It's Terrible Twosday yet again. Tell us about two instances in your life:
Once, when you walked away from somebody else...
"I'm sorry," I said as I turned to go.
"Wait!" she cried. "Ishe, must you really?"
I turned back to Brun with a sad look, "Yes, he is worth defying all of this; worth more than all the souls in Asgard"
With that, I left, not looking back, knowing that the next time we met, we would be enemies.
...and once, when someone walked away from you.
I opened my eyes and looked around. All was blank gray walls and one wooden door with bars across the opening. Looking down at my hands, I saw the manacles around my wrists.
"Ah, I see you have awoken," a voice said from the other side of the door, sounding a bit muffled. I would recognize that voice anywhere.
Defiantly, I looked up, "What do you want, Loki?"
"Now, now, is that any way to greet your protector?" he asked smugly.
"Protector my black-feathered ass!"
He laughed. The asshole actually laughed! I glared at the door, wishing that I could see him; could throttle him with these chains.
"Your indignation is quite funny, my little pet," he chortled. "I'll be seeing you."
I could hear the smirk in his voice at that, as I listened to his footsteps recede down the corridor.
Hello everyone! Here we have a series of posts I did over in the LJ community, charloft. On Tuesdays, we are asked to recount two different things as the character we have chosen to post as. All my posts are done as my character, Ishetalia Valkor from my series Valkyrie Chronicles. Since I don't have much VC up in my gallery, I thought you all would like to get to know her. ^_^ The ones here are a bunch of old ones that I did awhile back after going through the archives a bit over at charloft. Enjoy!
