His arms slowly encircled my waist as we continued dancing to the band playing Fur Elise by Beethoven. I tentatively slid my hands behind his head, pulling us closer together and resting my head against his chest. Even in heels, he was still a good head taller than me.
As we continued to sway to the music, he quietly asked, "Why am I the only one who can see them?"
I pulled back enough to look into his eyes. And just as quietly as him, I answered, "Because you've seen me before...and because I want you to."
It seemed that this suited him, so I again rested my head against his chest. My breathe hitched a little. I had never revealed that to someone before; never needed to.
I could hear the smile in his voice as he said, "Must be the music..."
